Mad Tree is a Colombian rock band, created in 2013 by Sebastián Izáciga (Guitar and voice) and Nicolás Gutiérrez (drums). They conceive art as an essential means of communication, reason why their music and lyrics are carefully crafted, as they are tools for perspective and expression.
They have already stepped on the most important stages of the Latin American independent scene, such as Vive Latino (México), Grito Latino (Costa Rica) and Rock al Parque (Colombia). They have produced two studio albums: “Centésimo Humano (2016)”, and “Éter (2019)”, which have earned them status amongst the specialized press as one of the best-projected rock proposals of Latin America.
They’re currently preparing what will be their third album “Así hablan los Pájaros” – How birds speak, where the concept is how humanity has generated hidden codes for keeping track of inspiring ideas rooted in their seek for purpose.
lyrics
No conozco la verdad
vine ciego aquí a recordar.
Mis silbidos llamarán
al espíritu que guiará mi ser.
Levitando en la ciudad
vi contradicción y desamor.
Desdoblé el cuatro en seis,
lo entendí, uno es tres.
Anulé el dos en mí,
siete cuerpos reales.
No es posible trascender
sin resignación a lo habitual.
Crearé un lenguaje más
para conversar con mi guardián.
Luz azul, luna gris,
inmortal aprendiz.
Luz azul, luna gris,
inmortal aprendiz.
Luz azul, luna gris,
inmortal aprendiz.
